The J.C.B. Grant Society
Legacy supporters are a special group of donors at The Princess Margaret. When you include The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation in your estate plans, we will welcome you into the J.C.B. Grant Society – our way of honouring donors who choose to help transform cancer outcomes as part of the legacy they leave behind.
The J.C.B. Grant Society is named after the distinguished Toronto professor of anatomy, Dr. J.C. Boileau Grant, the author of Grant’s Atlas of Anatomy. For much of this century, Grant’s Atlas has been the standard anatomy textbook, used to train thousands of medical students worldwide.
A special connection to Princess Margaret Cancer Centre
Dr. Grant’s widow, Anne Catriona Robertson, left us the Atlas as a bequest when she died in 1982. Through annual royalty payments, The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation has created the J.C.B. Grant Chair in Oncologic Pathology.
We are deeply grateful for the Grant family’s inspiring example. Their generosity has left a meaningful legacy and helped advance leading‑edge cancer research.
As a member of the J.C.B. Grant Society, you’ll receive:
- Invitations to exclusive events
- Insider updates, including special communications
- Recognition in our digital Annual Report and on our J.C.B. Grant Society donor wall in the Cancer Centre
